Jivox announced today that it will launch a new “publisher portal” that lets its publisher partners build a branded dashboard for launching and managing locally targeted video ad campaigns.

The Jivox Publisher Portal enables publishers’ sales and ad operations teams to access and manage their advertiser accounts, enter insertion orders, set campaign pricing, track campaigns and traffic video ads all from a central console. Extensive analytics enable publishers to see real-time critical metrics related to ad performance and ad inventory, and report back to their advertisers.

For those unfamiliar, Jivox is an online video ad production tool and distribution network. Its publisher network consists of about 800 TV, radio station and newspaper sites, through which it reaches 75 million monthly uniques. Its selling proposition to advertisers is the size of this network and also the locally relevant ad inventory it accesses.

Partners include Examiner.com, Local.com, The Tampa Tribune and AccuWeather. Each of these makes up the distribution network but also, importantly, serves as a channel to advertisers. As the network continues to grow, the new publisher portal should serve as a good acquisition and retention tool for both publishers and the advertisers they serve.
