In Wave 19 (2015) of Local Commerce Monitor (LCM), our survey of small and medium businesses, when asked about the importance of websites with customer opinions, 50% of SMBs surveyed rated Facebook as “very” or “extremely” important -making it the highest ranked of the websites included in the survey.
The implication, according to BIA/Kelsey’s Director of Research, Steve Marshall, is that SMBs want to know how products will leverage their Facebook presence and content. Facebook is becoming Main Street for many SMBs.
As you can see in our latest infographic below, 73.2% of SMBs use some kind of social media for advertising and promotion. A Facebook page is the most popular at 57.4%.
