73.5% of retail SMBs* maintain a customer list, the majority for more than a year, according to data from Wave 19 of Local Commerce Monitor (LCM), our survey of small and medium businesses. Over half of these SMBs say they promote to their customer lists.
Nearly a third of retail SMBs expressed an interest in offering customer loyalty programs in the next 12 months.
* Retail includes retail shops and stores, and hair salons, beauty salons and barber shops. We include hair salons in the retail vertical because a significant portion of their net sales typically comes from sales of hair products.
