Which is easier, transforming a legacy media company or turning a battleship around in a canal? That may sound dramatic, but the struggle is real.

The Local Media Association (LMA) organized a mini workshop at BIA/Kelsey ENGAGE to tackle this question and its many moving parts. It was built around case studies that spotlight genuine change in inertia-clad organizations.

LMA president Nancy Lane was the ring leader for a procession of case studies, including GateHouse Media and Advocate Digital Media — certainly challenged but opportune outfits.  See the entire session below.
