The Austrian mobile app developer Adafix has partnered with Lokaldelen, European Directories’ Swedish operation, to launch a mobile caller ID recognition app. The new application enables the publisher to suggest alternate merchants if a caller fails to connect with their first choice.

When the Adafix app suggests alternative merchants, it accesses the Lokaldelen database. The app currently is available on phones using the Android, RIM Blackberry, Symbian S60 or Windows Mobile operating systems. Adafix has not developed the app for Apple it says because of the iPhone’s limitations on multitasking.

Adafix has already launched the app in Austria, Denmark and Germany.

Lokaldelen is a local print and online directory company, owned by European Directories, that competes with market leader Eniro.
